Kathleen Carver Cheney’s unique qualifications include a clinical background as a nursing leader combined with more than 15 years of healthcare transactional and regulatory experience. She represents a range of healthcare providers with a focus on long-term and post-acute care. Her clients include nursing facilities, home health agencies, hospices, managed long-term care plans, and commercial lenders in the areas of acquisitions, regulatory compliance, finance, real estate, fraud and abuse, compliance, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, survey and certification, Certificate of Need, HIPAA privacy, and end-of-life issues.

Ms. Carver Cheney earned her J.D. from the New York University School of Law. She also received an M.A. in Nursing, with honors, from New York University, and a B.S. in Nursing, with honors, from Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY. She is a member of the New York Bar.
Ms. Carver Cheney speaks and writes extensively on issues relating to healthcare quality and innovation. She is a member of New York State Bar Association–Health Law Section, the American Health Lawyers Association, and the National Association of Women Lawyers.
